The agency was founded in 2006 under the name Pleon as part of the European network of the same name. Its name was changed to Mint in 2010 after the global merger of Pleon with Ketchum. The Moscow team decided to continue working with the BBDO Group and not to become a part of the Ketchum Pleon network, so the agency was renamed.
